CHICKEN SAUSAGE ROLLS


Ingredients

  • 500g chicken mince or pork sausage mince
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp grated ginger
  • 11/2 cups grated carrot
  • 11/2 cups grated potato
  • 3/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp ROSELLA Fruit Chutney
  • 1 tbsp ROSELLA Organic Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Freshly ground black pepper and salt, to taste
  • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • Egg wash, made from 1 egg, lightly beaten with
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • Sesame seeds
  • ROSELLA Organic Tomato Sauce or ROSELLA Organic Barbecue Sauce

Method

  • In a large mixing bowl, place the mince ingredients together and season with freshly ground black pepper and salt, to taste. Mix well using your hands until well combined.
  • Cut the partially thawed pastry squares in half and place a few spoonfuls of combined mince in a line along the side of each pastry strip. Roll the long edge into a sausage roll making sure the seam is to the bottom. Cut each roll into 6 pieces then place onto a paper lined baking tray.
  • Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven of 200°C for 15–20 minutes or until golden in colour.
  • Serve hot with a large dipping bowl of ROSELLA Organic Tomato Sauce or ROSELLA Organic Barbecue Sauce.
